14/10/2024 Ergobyte participated in the kick-off meeting of the European project IRHIS - Interoperable Remote Health Innovation brought to Scale, in Kaunas Lithuania. This important, first gathering brought together all the partners, from Belgium, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal and Greece, to outline the project's objectives and strategize the next steps.:
IRHIS aims to establish the first EU-wide Advanced Remote Care Demonstration Chain, with a focus on scaling and integrating unique technologies across Europe’s Less Developed Regions. The consortium will develop three interregional DemoScale Labs dedicated to critical areas of remote care: musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological disorder treatment, and management of critical patient conditions. The project is set to involve over 1,000 patients in testing and evaluation activities, which will generate millions of big data entries. This data will be pivotal for developing robust AI and machine learning models that ensure market fit and adoption of the IRHIS technologies. Ergobyte is excited to take an active role in DemoScale Lab 2, focusing on neurological disorders. Our researchers will collaborate with their partners to combine rehabilitation and sensor technologies with business process optimization tools to improve rehabilitation outcomes.
During the two-day meeting, partners engaged in lively discussions and collaborative workshops aimed at refining the project’s vision and outlining actionable plans for the upcoming phases. Key presentations highlighted the innovative technologies that will be implemented across the DemoScale Labs. Breakout sessions facilitated brainstorming on each work package. Overall, the meeting fostered a strong sense of collaboration and commitment among the partners, setting a solid foundation for the exciting work ahead.
The IRHIS initiative not only aims to deploy cutting-edge technology but also seeks to consolidate the fragmented EU remote care innovation landscape. By mobilizing crucial investments and fostering interoperability, the consortium envisions creating a dynamic EU-wide ecosystem that empowers innovators from Less Developed Regions and promises transformative care solutions for patients across Europe.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey!
